I do have some confusion over the carb/net carb concept. I have read up on the differences between the two, but I'm still not sure how stick to the Atkins diet correctly. If there are diffrent types of carbs, then how can you tell what you can eat on food labels that do not do the breakdown for you. With seeing results from the Atkins diet I have pretty much come to fear all carbs and look at them as the enemy, so even when I see the "net carb" label, I still go by the total carb count. If anyone could offer any helpful information on this, it would be much appreciated. On that note...if there is a breakdown of carbs, why does the recommend food lists in the Atkins books not offer a detailed list of this on each food item?
