I finally made the move servermatrix. I moved away from ev1servers as a long-running philosophical difference about the purchase of SCO licenses. Here was the primary portion of the message I included in my cancellation request:

[begin snip] Because of philosophical differences stemming from the licenscing of SCO IP, I have been slowly looking for a new host for quite some time. It has not been a hurried search, so it has taken a while to find a time that I could change web hosts with. It is very important to me that free software as a concept be allowed to survive, as I have personally built my career, learning and developing within the free software world. I cannot in good conscience be an indirect supporter of SCO’s questionable business practices that threaten Linux and the open source movement through abuses of IP law. That being said, I was overall very satistifed with the service I received at ev1, and my leaving is in no way reflective of any sort of customer service problems. [end snip]
